Teldat mGPRS Offers IP Alarm Transmission Over Cell Phone Network http://gpmarketingcanada.com/rss/archives/38 http://gpmarketingcanada.com/rss/archives/38#comments Mon, 15 May 2006 01:36:02 +0000 Weblog Administrator http://gpmarketingcanada.com/rss/archives/38
The Teldat mGPRS is a simple communications device that allows the transmission of alarms generated by a conventional alarm panel via the GSM data network, called GPRS (IP communication over the cell phone network). At the same time, the mGPRS module keeps the standard telephone line as a backup mechanism.

Designed to work with most existing alarm panels (burglar and fire), the mGPRS allows for a faster and more economic alarm transmission, improving response times, decreasing costs and offering value added features such as the supervised line functionality that allows the central station to detect if any of the alarm panels go off-line. At the central station side, the VisorALARM IP Receiver will integrate seamlessly into conventional central station architectures.

The mGPRS offers a future proof alternative to soon to be obsolete traditional analog cellular back-up transmission products. It also provides a cost effective solution for monitoring residential or business accounts replacing phone lines for VoIP or wireless services.

For more information on the mGPRS or other Teldat Security IP products, contact your local GP Marketing Canada representative or visit the Teldat Security web site. Please consult our FAQ page for specific questions and answers regarding the mGPRS
